Text Message Terms and Conditions

Phi Delta Theta – Massachusetts Epsilon (Northeastern University)

Last updated: 25 August 2026

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of membership, of any purchase, or of any service from Phi Delta Theta – Massachusetts Epsilon.

Members who do not opt in still receive dues notices by email and are not disadvantaged in any way.

The programme

Phi Delta Theta – Massachusetts Epsilon sends dues reminders by SMS to initiated members of the chapter who have opted in and who owe dues.

Messages tell a member that a dues instalment is upcoming, due today, or overdue. Each message identifies the chapter by name and includes the amount owed, the due date, the remaining balance, and how to pay.

These messages are transactional. They contain no marketing or promotional content of any kind.

Who receives messages

Only current initiated members of this chapter who have opted in and who owe dues. There is no purchased, rented, or third-party list.

How to opt in

By ticking the SMS consent box on the chapter's member contact form. The box is optional and unchecked by default; you must actively tick it to be enrolled.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies with your payment plan and is at most one message per day.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. These are charged by your mobile carrier, not by us. Check your plan if you are unsure.

How to stop messages

Reply STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages after that.

You may also email treasurer@nuphidelts.org and ask to be removed.

Opting out of text messages does not remove you from the chapter and does not change what you owe. You will continue to receive dues notices by email.

How to get help

Reply HELP to any message, or email treasurer@nuphidelts.org.

Carriers

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your information

The only parties who process this information are our service providers (Brevo for email, Twilio for SMS, Google for records storage), acting solely on our instructions to deliver these messages.
